===== VCDS =====

Ross-Tech VCDS® (VAG-COM Diagnostic System) is the leading free [[OBD]] tool (diagnostic system) for hobby and workshop tasks on Audi, Cupra, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen vehicles. The HEX-V2 and HEX-NET diagnostic hardware supports all model years, whether with [[K-Line]], L-Line or [[CAN]].

Other vehicle manufacturers are covered by the integrated [[OBD-2]] functionality. HEX-V2 and HEX-NET can both be operated via USB, functionally both offer the full range of functions in relation to the Windows VCDS software. The HEX-NET has the added benefit of being able to be used via Wifi in the web browser on any internet enabled device via VCDS-Mobile to check the own vehicle on the road.

The diagnostic depth of VCDS thereby reaches the original diagnostic devices VAS 5051/5052/5053/5054. VCDS turns a computer with Microsoft Windows into an OBD diagnostic device. Work on current vehicles that require [[SFD]] is also supported.
